The Parisian fashion house's Dutch-born menswear designer celebrated a one decade anniversary as a head of the brand's men's line yesterday with the presentation of Lanvin Spring-Summer 2017 menswear collection during the Paris Fashion Week (held June 22-26, 2016).
Every stage of the creative process, fro the sketches to the final fittings, is cared out on the third floor of rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore. One hundred years of following a tradition of perfection where errors are unacceptable; where one's profession is cherished because handmade does not stem from elite craftsmanship, but from pure art.
It was "Le Plus Beau des Voyages": the soundtrack for the runway show mimicked the journey in which the models declared their individuality, to stand out from the rest. The Lanvin man is contemporary and aesthete yet does not follow fashion in order to follow the crowd.
Lanvin Fall-Winter 2015/2016 menswear collection offers: linear, military, minimal, gray silhouettes, a variety of textile patterns (tweed, flannel, Prince of Wales check, hounds tooth), all-in-black looks, embroidery, metallic details and little chains, layering.
US designer Alber Elbaz and Dutch designer Lucas Ossendrijver presented Lanvin Spring-Summer 2015 menswear collection yesterday (June 29, 2014) in France during the Paris Fashion Week.
'You know men don't change every season, we are stubborn. What changes in life is the way we live', said Ossendrijver after the show.
