May/June 2002

It was announced this week at the Lloyd Klein Place Vendome headquarters, Paris, that The House of Lloyd Klein will continue to create a full menswear collection to accompany the women's couture and ready-to-wear lines for the next spring summer 2003 collection.

The Fall/Winter 2002/03 Men's Collection was uncanny and complimentary to the seasonal women's collections for the House of Lloyd Klein. With the successful response to the "Rock Star's, Super Heroes and Greek God's" inspired Lloyd Klein Hommes Collection shown during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York last February, the House is continuing with the styling and development of the look for the Lloyd Klein man. Plans are underway to return to New York Fashion Week in September, however this time with a somewhat controversial exhibition and press show.

With strategy in place to open the first U.S. Lloyd Klein boutique by Spring 2003 in Los Angeles, the designer is busy between his Place Vendome office and his Hollywood Hills "coyote" vista retreat. According to the designer, the environment will be dedicated to the comfort of both the ready-to-wear client as well as his couture clientele from Palm Beach, New York and Europe.

The House opened U.S. headquarters 2 years ago in Beverly Hills with an eye toward developing a retail presence starting with Los Angeles with New York soon to follow.
