Kukeri Foundation and the Management Committee call for participation in Kukermoda 2012 Fashion Design Contest for design of modern clothing and masquerade costumes inspired by the cultural heritage of the world.

The application deadline is January 31, 2012, and the full documentation must be received by the organizers by February 10, 2012.

KUKERMODA'12 is a fashion design contest for contemporary clothing and new masquerade costumes based on the tradition, which is to be held within Kukerfest Karlovo 2012 (20-26 February 2012).The final round of KUKERMODA is on 24th and 25th February 2012.

This will be the first time of the contest in Karlovo, and it will mostly have virtual character in 2012. The participation is with sketches and not with finished sewn samples; some supporting documents with information about each contestant, their sources of inspiration and the path from idea to the contest model are required too.

Prizes consists of tourist packages with the best tourist attraction on offer in Karlovo region: spa, adventure, ecotourism and rural tourism, historical sites and museums of national significance for Bulgaria. The awards will be fully specified and published concretely within days on the site of KUKERMODA '12.
